75 players survived the first day of Triple Draw Lowball. They fight for the total prize pool of $591,100 and the first place is worth $165,521.

WSOP Event #55 kicked off with a field of 257 players which included many well known faces: Chris Fergunson, David Sklansky, Daniel Negreanu and Mueller Howard Lederer. Terrance Chan, Allen Kessler, Thor Hansen, Steve Zolotov, Nikolay Edvakov and David Singer were ucky enough to be seated next to unknown players.

World Series of Poker – World H.O.R.S.E. Championship Day Four

It was a short day down at the Rio in the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. World Championship event, but the day was not without its fair share of drama. Just 19 players came back to play down to the final table, but there was still the matter of making the money ahead of them.

Predictably, the short stacks had targets on their backs from the get go and while some managed to escape the mounting blinds and antes, Todd Brunson became the first casualty of the day, busting in 19th place to Vitaly Lunkin.

WSOP Event #43: Thomas And Simon At The Top After 2 Days

After two play days, the WSOP Seniors Event is down to just 28 players of the original 2,707. Charles Simon ended Day 1 in the chip lead and nearly did the same on Day 2.

After the event for the ladies, the seniors have also found something for them – the WSOP Seniors $1,000 No Limit Hold’em Championship.

Needle King Wins WSOP 2009 LHE Event #38

Sporting a huge chip lead at the final table, it was Marc “Needle King” Naalden’s event to lose. True enough, he conquered the final table with ease and as a result of his masterful performance, he brings home his very first WSOP gold bracelet courtesy of Event #38, the $2,000 Limit Hold’em event at the 2009 World Series of Poker.

Event 39, 1.5K NLHE: Foley Upsets Cantu To Win Bracelet

The third largest tournament in terms of number of entrants at 2,715 took place this weekend at the 2009 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, Nevada. The prize pool was impressive at over three million dollars and first place was going to take home not only a WSOP bracelet but over 650K in cash.
